• Hacking, Security, Infosec, Cyber.
  From an obscure interest and an added responsibility of your sys admin it is now a massive industry and real threat to everday to normal people and not just business's/large networks
  In the early days you would have to work your way up into Security, either hacking at home or as a sys admin (hacking) on the job.
  You could even get a job by breaking into systems, show you have the skills for the job but now the lines are drawn, good guys and bad guys, white hat, ethical hacker or criminal black hat
  Infosec has become a victim of its own allure, once a passion for a certian type of person it is now a comfy career path that attracts people more interested in the perception of abundant employment and decent pay
  Flooded with certificates instead of knowledge, Passion is gone.(or rare)
  
  I have met so many "Masters in Cyber Security" that would have never heard of ASLR
  
  I have met Experts in the Field who think a Nop Sled is a brand of snowboard.
  Anti-Sec, where are you ?
  I do not claim to be anything more than a fan, maybe once I was a hacker but former at best. infosec is dead in its place is cyber.
